Plot

One night at the Boys’ Hostel at Jaigarh University, Satara District, a senior student Feroz (Mukesh Tiwari) and his goons harrass freshman geek Vishnu “Battery” Pandey (Subeer Goswamin), stripping him down, molesting him and tying a collar around his neck and forcing him to act like a dog. His cries for help falls on deaf ears as the watchman continues to go about on his rounds.
Next, we see Karan (Vatsal Sheth), an Engineering Freshman arrive at the hostel. Warden Sharad Saxena (Nagesh Bhosle) asks Peon Shantaram (Chandarchur Karnik) to show Karan his room. When Karan opens the door, he finds a group of 15-20 boys led by Akshay (Aarif Sheikh) waiting for him. Akshay asks for Rs. 2.000 and when Karan asks why, Akshay slaps him. Warden Saxena then comes in and Akshay tells him that Karan refused to pay the ‘rent’, upon which the warden tells Karan that he will be here for 4 years, and “We will all take care of you.” After the goons leave, Karan then meets Vishnu and his friends Nilesh (Ramesh Chandane) and Bobby (Nirmal Soni) and they become friends.
That evening at mess, as Karan sits down to have his food, Akshay spits a loogie into his food and as he is about to fight, they poke a knife in his back and take him to see Feroz. Feroz tells Peon Shantaram that the day Karan has a meal at mess, he will beat up Shantaram at mess. Feroz then asks Karan to drink a glass of his urine, and when he refuses, he throws it at Karan’s face. Karan tries to fight back but is beaten up by the goons, witnessed by the warden.
Karan asks his friends why nobody takes action against Feroz, and they tell him that he has been purposely failing for years and that is why he is the General Secretary of the University, and is backed by political parties who will be absorbing him within a year or two.
The boys are then worrying about an upcoming exam, when the warden tells them he can help them to get the question paper for Rs 10,000 but when Vishnu tells him they don’t have that much money he scolds them and tells them to leave.
That evening, as the boys are studying, Feroz and his goons come to their room and ask Karan to do a striptease. When he refuses, they drag him out to the field and strip him naked in front of everyone.
Karan fails his exam. He asks the Dean (Yusuf Hussain) for help but he tells him it is a student matter and although he sympathises with the situation, he is unable to help them. He suggests that Karan should find accommodations elsewhere.
Karan’s friends talk him out of retaliation and advise him to focus on his next exams. They suggest that he go to the library to study as the goons wouldn’t even know where the library is.
At the library, Karan is unable to concentrate and breaks down crying as he recalls the humiliation he has been through. Science student Payal (Tulip Joshi) hears him and asks him if he is okay. He says he’s okay and they become friends.
A few days pass and Karan and Payal grow closer. One day, as he is walking to the canteen with Payal, one of Feroz’s goons calls him to the Auditorium for another bout of ragging. Karan ignores the guy and walks off with Payal. At the canteen, Payal tells him he should defend himself. Just then, Akshay comes and asks him why he wasn’t at the Auditorium like the other freshmen. He then asks Karan to go kiss some random girl, when he refuses, Akshay asks him to kiss Payal, else he and his friends will kiss Payal. Karan loses his temper and beats up all six of them.
Akshay runs off to tell Feroz, who, after laughing at his condition, phones a local gangster, Ayoob Bhai (Padam Singh) to ask for his help. Ayoob and his goons, with Akshay in tow, come looking for Karan. Karan convinces Ayoob that Feroz is using him to do his own dirty work and Ayoob decides not to help Feroz. Ayoob tells Karan that he will help him if he ever needs anything.
Feroz tells Akshay to pack his bags and leave the University. He then offers Karan Rs. 3,000 a month to take Akshay’s place. When Karan refuses, he tells Karan that he won’t be bothered again, but in return, he should not interfere with his business.
Feroz’s sadistic activities continue and he even starts selling drugs to students. Meanwhile, Karan and Payal become a couple. A year passes and a new freshman geek, Pawan (Vinamra) arrives at the hostel. When he opens the door to his new room, he finds a group of 15-20 boys this time led by Vishnu, Nilesh and Bobby, waiting for him. As they are now in their sophomore year, Vishnu, Nilesh and Bobby feel that they have the right to abuse the freshmen as they were abused the previous year.
Karan befriends Pawan and when Feroz and Karan’s 3 friends (now part of Feroz’s gang) force Pawan to smoke a joint, the boy falls sick and Karan advises his friends to stop the ragging, but they ignore his advice.
One night, Feroz brings a prostitute to the hostel and asks Pawan to have unprotected sex with her, to be witnessed by the entire gang and the warden. Karan knocks on the door and tells Feroz to stop harrassing the poor kid, upon which Feroz single-handedly (and rather unconvincingly) beats Karan up, and the ragging continues.
Later, Feroz forces Pawan to pay Rs. 5,000 for a packet of drugs, and with the money he buys a DVD player. That night, Karan helps Pawan study for an exam the next day, while Feroz and his gang watch porn on the DVD player. Having prepared Pawan for the exam, Karan goes back to his room and goes to sleep. Feroz and the gang, intoxicated and aroused by the porn, come to Pawan room and rape him.
The next day, a pantless Pawan hangs himself from the ceiling fan with blood dripping down his legs suggesting he was sodomized. A reluctant Dean, under pressure from the Trustees downplays the suicide and blames it on Pawan poor mental state and psychological problems.
Feroz pays Karan another visit and tells him he knows that it was Karan who gave a statement to the police regarding Pawan’s suicide, but ridiculed his efforts as the Trustees themselves paid off the police and Karan’s own friend came up with a falsified post mortem report. He then warns Karan not to go to the press or other politicians, or he will rape Payal just like he raped Pawan.
Karan breaks up with Payal and asks her to forget him. In the background, we hear Ayoob’s promise being replayed. Karan comes to the hostel and padlocks all the exits. He then goes to Feroz’s room. Vishnu opens the door and Karan shoots him point blank 3 times. He then goes on to shoot Bobby, Warden Saxena, and Nilesh (3 times each).
Feroz and his goons show up and beat Karan up before he finds an iron rod and beats everyone up and is about to land a fatal blow to Feroz’s head when the Dean (on the other side of the locked grill) asks him to stop. Karan throws the rod away, goes back to where his gun fell earlier, reloads and shoots Feroz 9 times.
